Job Title: Shift Engineer (printing department)
Location: Doncaster
Shifts: 12 hour days and nights, 4 on 6 off
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
Metalis are working with a global leader in packaging solutions, and work with a range of reputable brands all over the world. They are currently looking to develop their printing department by recruiting for a shift engineer to join the team. The role will ensure continuous operation of the print department by responding to breakdowns and implementing continuous improvement ideas.
Job Role:
- Identify and rectify faults on packaging/process equipment to include print machines, palletisers, shuttle cars, strappers and other production machinery.
- Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on machinery to increase productivity.
- Communicate with other departments and assist where necessary to ensure customers needs are fulfilled.
- Carry out any continuous improvement activities or planned maintenance to improve standard operating procedures.
- Use plant monitoring systems to diagnose issues to help productivity.
Job Requirements:
- Apprentice trained in a relevant electrical OR mechanical discipline.
- Understanding of the operation of production equipment.
- Experience within an FMCG company would be beneficial.
