Metalis are working with an established manufacturing company who due to expansion they are looking for an experienced Acrylic Fabricator to join their friendly team based in Leicester.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of acrylic products. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a keen eye for quality to ensure all products meet to a high standard and meet customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and work from technical drawings and blueprints to fabricate acrylic components.
- Operate and maintain machinery and tools such as saws, routers, lasers, and bending equipment.
- Cut, shape, bend, and assemble acrylic sheets into finished products.
- Perform finishing tasks including sanding, polishing, and bonding.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure finished products meet specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with the design and production teams to develop and improve fabrication processes.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the fabrication process.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an acrylic fabricator or in a similar role within a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using fabrication tools and machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in fabrication, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Experience with CAD software and CNC machinery.
- Knowledge of other materials and fabrication techniques.
Pay & Hours:
- £35,000-40,000
- 08.00am to 16.30pm Monday to Thursday and 08.00am to 16.00pm on Friday
