CNC Turner - Fanuc Lathes

Days Monday - Friday
12 week Temp - Perm
Metalis are currently working with a reputable company based in Sheffield that are looking for a Skilled CNC Lathe Turner to join the team!
The company holds BS EN ISO 9002 quality standards and has recently expanded its services to other sectors, including steelworks, offering machining solutions and repairing a wide range of products such as shafts and rollers.
They're looking for a skilled CNC Turner to join a small, close-knit engineering team of around seven machinists. You will primarily be working on Fanuc-controlled Alpha Lathes, performing CNC turning duties on a variety of products.
What's the Job?
- Set up and operate Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes.
- Perform CNC turning on shafts, rollers, and other engineered components.
- Carry out machining duties on additional products, including abrasive products,
cutters, and hexagon pattern holders.
- Conduct tool changes and basic machine maintenance.
- Use overhead cranes as/when required.
- Inspect finished products using basic measuring equipment to ensure quality standards.
What Kind of Person Fits This Job?
- Experience with CNC turning, ideally on Fanuc operating systems.
- Ability to set up and operate machines independently.
- Basic programming knowledge advantageous but not essential.
- Strong work ethic and punctuality; attention to detail and quality is essential.
- Comfortable working in a team environment with experienced colleagues.
The Basics:
- Hours: Mon-Thurs 06:30-16:30, Fri 06:30-13:30
- Salary: £14.00 - £16.00 p/h (subject to experience)
