Despatch Operative
£9.32 - £9.52 per hour + Westfield Health + Benefits
Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 16:00pm, Friday 7:00am - 13:00pm
Job Description
Our client who specialise in designing and building products for children with a wide range of disabilities are looking for a reliable, organised and committed individual to join their despatch team to facilitate the on-time despatch of customer orders this would be based at their Sheffield site within their production facility.
Role Duties
- Receiving and signing for goods
- Quality checks on goods received
- Putting away physical stock
- Replenish locations
- Completing requisition forms
- Picking of stock and completing kits
- Periodic stock checks & audits
- Using a wide range of packing and despatch techniques such as: CNC box making, stitching and stapling, quality checking, document printing and binding
- Occasionally you may be asked to support other departments including Machine Shop, PU, Assembly, Metal Work & Stores
Personal Specifications
- A minimum of 6 months+ despatch / warehouse experience is essential
- You are enthusiastic about work and have a positive "can do" attitude
- You can demonstrate good aptitude for 'hands on' work and the use of hand tools.
- Some heavy lift may be required
- Great organisation skills
- Able to work to deadlines
- Sufficient numeracy and literacy skills are required to be able to follow Health & Safety and work instructions.
