The Role

As EC&I Engineering Manager within the engineering department you will provide all EC&I designs, equipment selection, installation, testing and commissioning necessary for operation of the plant. In addition, you will provide EC&I support for all three Metalysis sites. You will report to the Director of Engineering.

Roles and Responsibilities
Your routine duties will vary but are likely to include

  • Electrical, instrumentation and control system designs for all process equipment and electrical installations.
  • Assume responsibility for the safety and integrity of the various electrical installations across the three sites
  • You will supervise the installation and test the EC&I systems for performance
  • Ensure all E&C drawings are provided for, and that they are maintained up to date
  • Ensure that all designs and installation works are carried out and meet the most recent Norms
  • You will ensure that your professional knowledge level is maintained up to date
  • Ensure that all EI&C and associated procedures are followed within Metalysis particularly in the case of contractors
  • Supervise and control of EI&C contractors
  • Liaise with suppliers and outside contractors
  • Liaise with other engineering disciplines including plant safety to ensure designs and equipment is according to requirements
  • Your work will cover all necessary plant automation requirements which includes local PLC control
  • Responsible for good project management of your projects particularly cost control and schedule control.
  • Responsible for ensuring all E&C drawings are available and up to date including all necessary lists ie load
  • Provide expertise and advice to other departments
  • Develop and manage a 24/7 call out service for all EI&C upset conditions
