Metalis are currently working with a well established manufacturing company who due to growth are hiring for a HR Advisor to join their team.
Job Role: HR Advisor
Salary Range: £34,000 - £36,000 Dependant on experience
Hours: 39 per week - Monday to Friday
Job Details:
- To support and advise the management team in all aspects of the Human Resource function, including Employee Relations, Industrial Relations and Employment Law
- To work with the team to ensure our people across all roles benefit from a positive workplace experience
- To ensure, through the development and implementation of Human Resource policies and procedures that the Company works in line with Human Resource "best practice"
- To continually develop and implement Policies and procedures that comply with employment legislation and enhance employee relations
- To support with disciplinary, grievance, consultation on terms/ conditions changes, absence management and other employee related meetings
- To review, develop and promote Company benefits to all employees
- To provide training to new and existing Managers, on all key Human Resource matters including new Policies and Procedures
- To maintain and update all personnel records (both IT base
- Undertake any other duties as required by the Human Resources Manager d and manual files) ensuring that legal requirements and Company rules (SOX) are adhered to at all times
- To work with the wider HR and management team to identify and implement improved structure and traceability of employee training
Requirements:
- Proven experience of working as a proactive HR Generalist in a manufacturing environment
- Experience of working with Trade Union Representatives and promoting positive industrial and employee relations
- A solid understanding of employment law and how to implement into company Policy and Procedure
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage a range of stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, lead on activities where required whilst also being a key contributor to the HR Team
- Ability to handle sensitive information in a professional manner and have a understanding of GDPR requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce quality work within set timeframes
- Sound organisation skills with the ability to prioritise a diverse workload
- Strong IT skills, with the ability to use all Microsoft Office functions and experience of working with HR Management systems
- Possession of a Full UK Driving licence and willingness to travel between both locations
Desirable:
- A formal qualification in Human Resources such as CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent)
- Previous experience of working with some of the following software: Workday, ADP, Kronos and SAP
