Our client are specialist metal fabricators, welders and engineers providing bespoke fabricated and laser cut solutions.
SALARY: Between £27,000 - £30,000 dependant upon experience
HOURS: Monday to Thursday, 07:30am until 16:00pm
Friday, 07:30am until 15:00pm
The Role…
Is ideally for an experienced Laser Programmer / Estimator with a estimating background to work within a well-established manufacturer in Rugby. Responsible for the daily delivery of projects to internal and external customers, developing new and existing business opportunities, generating quotes, and following up with clients.
Responsibilities…
- Initiate project start up procedures, including order acknowledgment and design reviews
- Ensure project materials and tooling are ordered to timescale and budget
- Process customer drawing requirements accurately
- Set up and maintain contract files to company procedures
- Interpret drawings to produce a laser cutting program
- Preparing CAD geometries, nesting's, and programs through the Laser CAD system
- Ensure quality processes are carried out to Customer's instructions
- Ensure geometries are accurate and to drawings and procedures
Who we want…
The successful applicant will possess:
- Demonstrable experience of programming laser machines with a laser cutting background is desired
- Experience with TruTops/SolidWorks
- Demonstrable experience in reading and issuing engineering drawings and work instructions
- A minimum of GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics
- Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel
- The ability to act under pressure and to timescale
- A knowledge of Sheet Metal & fabrication would be an advantage
