Job Title: Lead Electrical Engineer
Location: Sheffield
Shifts: Days regular
Salary: Up to £55,000
Metalis is one of our long-standing clients, with multiple investments and leaders within their field in heavy engineering. They are looking for a lead electrical engineer, to carry out duties of 'engineer in charge'.
Job Role:
- Having overall responsibility of site electrical equipment, maintenance strategies and personnel.
- To manage electrical engineering function, managing and developing staff as well as delegating activities to all personnel.
- Plan and manage engineering budgets, to ensure that budgets are satisfied and performance stays on track.
- Set team targets and objectives, developing and changing engineering practices.
- Consult with other engineering departments such as mechanical engineering, research & development, manufacturing, contractors and suppliers.
- Ensure all plant failures are fully investigated and actions are implemented to limit future failures.
- Demonstrate health & safety procedures professionally.
Job Requirements:
- Apprentice trained and educated to a HND level with proven experience ideally within a heavy engineering background.
- A motivated leader or senior engineer with demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Able to demonstrate sound knowledge of health & safety and environmental policies and plans.
