Job description

Job Role: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Sheffield
Shift: Days Only
Salary: Up to £15.00ph DOE
Metalis is working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing company in Sheffield who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a skilled Mechanical Fitter on a 12 week temporary to permanent contract.
Job Duties:
  • Overhaul and repair of various types of heat treatment equipment
  • Removing and installing heat treatment equipment
  • Travelling to clients around the UK and overseas
  • Ensuring fantastic communication for efficient breakdown assistance
  • Adhering to strict health and safety regulations and company policies
Job Requirements:
  • Ideally apprentice trained or time served Mechanical engineer / fitter
  • Advantageous to have experience in a heavy engineering environment
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Good accuracy and attention to detail
  • Full UK clean driving licence advantageous
Salary & Shift:
  • 37.5 hour working week
  • Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm
  • Overtime available at 1.5/2x rate
  • Travel expenses covered
  • 12 weeks temporary to permanent
