Metalis are currently working alongside an engineering & fabrication business who have been trading for over century in the search for their next Operations Manager. Due to continued growth and expansion, they are wanting a well skilled, people first, commercially driven individual to hit their next phase of growth.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team multiple teams to ensure efficient day-to-day operations
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise operational processes and enhance productivity
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial management to achieve business objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and resolve operational challenges
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure strict quality standards are adhered to at all times, reducing NCR and failed work.
- Monitoring the H&S Function alongside the HSE Manager to ensure best practice is kept and accidents are reduced.
The ideal person will:
- Proven experience in a leadership role, with a focus on operations management
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
- Solid understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and strategic planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred
