Monday - Thursday 8.00am - 4.30pm and Early Friday Finish
Job Description
Our client is a well-established manufacturing business who are looking for a reliable, organized and committed press operative to join their manufacturing workshop.
You will be using a number of power press machines and working with steel materials to produce the desired finishes.
This position would be based at the company's Sheffield site, within their production facility.
Role Duties:
- Operating a variety of power press equipment such as hydraulic pressed and powered punches
- Following basic engineering drawings and production route cards
- Ensuring that the cells have the correct materials
- Quality checking pressed items to ensure they meet the correct standards
- Tidying, organizing and putting away physical steel stock
- Working alongside the dispatch team to ensure orders are sent to customers (on-time)
Personal Specifications:
- A previous background working within a steel component / manufacturing company
- An enthusiastic and "can do" attitude
- Able to demonstrate good aptitude for working in a fast-paced environment
- Some manual duties and occasional heavy lifting may be required
- Great organization and methodical skills
- Able to work to deadlines helping the business achieve customer satisfaction
- Sufficient numeracy and literacy skills are required to be able to follow Health & Safety and work instructions.
