Metalis are currently supporting a leading inspection company who are at the forefront of quality checking aerospace components.
Job Summary:
You will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the aerospace inspection facility. This is an entry-level, unskilled position that involves various tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the testing/quality processes.
A desirable qualification for this role is a Forklift Truck (FLT) counterbalance license.
Job duties:
- Assist in the movement and handling of materials within the production area, ensuring that components are transported safely and efficiently.
- Operate machinery and equipment under the guidance of skilled technicians, contributing to the production of aerospace NDT inspection components.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to perform basic inspections of components, reporting any deviations or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Contribute to the cleanliness and organisation of the production area. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment. Report any safety concerns promptly.
Job requirements:
- Forklift Truck (FLT) License: Desirable. A valid FLT counterbalance license is a plus.
- No specific experience required; however, any previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing production needs.
Shifts & Salary:
- 06.00 - 14.00 Monday to Thursday
- 06.00 - 13.00 Friday (39 hour week)
- After 12 weeks
- 2 weeks of 06.00 - 14.00 Monday to Thursday, 06.00 - 13.00 Friday
- 1 week of 13.00 - 22.45 Monday to Thursday
