Metalis is working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing company in Sheffield who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a Quality Manager. The Quality Manager is responsible for overall development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's Quality Management System (QMS).

Job Duties:

  • Ensure that the organization's Quality Management System conforms to AS9100 standard, regulatory & legal requirements.
  • Manage and conduct internal audits to AS9100 standard
  • Manage and maintain the approval supplier list and manage new supplier approvals.
  • Engage with a team of engineers, inspectors, auditors, analysts, and technicians to maintain the AS9100 processes.
  • Collaborate with customers, employees, contractors, and outsourcing firms to develop product requirements.
  • Develop, implement and maintain a Health and Safety system within the company adhering to national standards.
  • Document company measures and monitor all quality and production activities and present performance KPI to the management team.
  • Oversee the nonconformance system including customer complaints (8D reporting) including internal quarantine investigations.
  • Update quality management system with new / revised requirements from standards, legal, regulations and any issues with respect to product / service.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous AS9100 experience essential.
  • Internal auditor to AS9100 level.
  • NADCAP would be an advantage but training will be made available if necessary
  • Good engineering and quality experience is required for this role.
  • Must have proven ability to work within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with people at all levels are essential.
  • Must have strong organisational, analytical, problem solving, and management skills.
  • Experience with MS-Office (especially Excel, Word) is needed. Project management experience is a plus.
