Job Role: CNC Machinist
Location: Wakefield
Salary: £17.00 - £18.00 per hour
Metalis are working with a well established engineering and manufacturing business in Wakefield, who are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join their team.
Job Duties:
- Operate CNC Milling and manual machines safely and efficiently
- Work from manufacturing routes, engineering drawings and geometrical tolerances
- Produce high-quality components to required manufacturing and quality standards
- Use manual measuring equipment to inspect and verify finished components
- Carry out routine machine checks and ensure machinery is maintained and lubricated
- Safely use lifting and transportation equipment when required
Job Requirements:
- Apprentice trained Mechanical Engineer or time-served Machinist
- Previous CNC Milling experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Able to read and work from engineering drawings
- Knowledge of CNC programming
- Horizontal machining centre experience with Fanuc controls - Desired
- Heidenhain control experience - Desired
- Heavy engineering background - Desired
- Experience machining large or complex components - Desired
Salary, Shift & Benefits:
- £17.00 - £18.00 per hour
- Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4.30pm & Friday, 8am to 1pm
- 33 days holiday per annum
