CNC Machinist
Salary: Up to £16p/h
Location: Sheffield
Tenure: Permanent
Metalis are working with a Sheffield-based client who are looking to add a CNC Machinist who has experience in general machining principles. The successful candidate will be hired on a permanent basis.
The Role:
- Operating CNC Lathes and CNC Grinders
- Surfacing grinding duties,
- Using measuring equipment micrometers Vernier's etc
- Look after all tooling and machinery and maintain as advised.
- Check measurement equipment used is within calibration and of good working order
- Follow and work to engineering drawings
The Person:
- Willing to develop onto CMM and optical measuring equipment
- NVQ level 3 (Apprenticeship in Engineering)
- To be able to operate at a high level of precision and competence
- Full UK Driving Licence
The Details:
- Up to £16.21p.h
- Days only but must be flexible to do afternoons when needed (Shift allowance given on this)
