Metalis Engineering are currently working alongside a specialist manufacturing company based in Coventry who are looking for an experienced Estimator to join their friendly and growing team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preparing accurate cost plans and pricing - Ensuring competitiveness and profitability
- Sourcing and obtaining quotations as appropriate and negotiating best possible price
- Analysing drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates
- Processing incoming and outgoing tenders, reviewing information received, and ensuring all internal forms are completed and processed to a consistently high standard
- Monitoring and reviewing cost estimates throughout the project life cycle to ensure budgetary control
- Liaising with Sales Team, Department Manager, production team and occasionally client contact points as necessary to understand their needs to agree scope of work
- Preparing a design, costing and accurate estimates to the Sales Team / Commercial and Technical Director
Shifts & Salary:
- £35,000 (dependent on experience)
- Days, Monday - Friday

The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience as an Estimator with a specialisation in joinery and or construction
- Strong understanding of joinery / construction methods, materials, and industry standards
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as Excel and estimating software
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
