Job Role: Fabric Cutter
Location: Wynthenshawe
Shift: Days Only
Salary: £11.77ph

Metalis is working in partnership with a specialist manufacturer in Manchester who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a skilled Fabric Cutter on a permanent contract.

Job Duties:

• To be responsible to the Production Manager for the completion of all cutting of curtain/seat cover patterns
• To understand curtain drawings
• To understand seat cover patterns and samples
• To ensure that production flow is maintained to meet set targets
• To maintain a consistently high quality of measuring, cutting and general workmanship.
• To maintain the accurate recording of correct stock figures on fabric
• To monitor progress of work packs and report any problems to the supervisor
• To organise the work area, keeping fabric in order
• To have a flexible approach to learning any new work procedures and systems required within the production/cutting department
• To carry out any duties as and when requested by a manager which are related to the services offered by this company, particularly during busy periods or to assist our customers at short notice.
  

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience of hand cutting and reading design drawings/measurements etc
• To be self-motivated and able to use own initiative
• Must have a friendly, approachable manner
• A flexible approach to their workload
• A conscientious person who takes pride in their work
• Understanding of the company's Health and Safety requirements
• To organise and prioritise workload
  

Salary & Shift:

• Up to £11.77ph
• Monday to Friday, days only
• Mon 07.00 - 16.00; Tu - Thurs 07.00 - 16.30 and Fri 07.00 - 11.30
• 40 hours per week
• 5 weeks holiday plus 8 Bank Holidays
