Artworker
Location: Leicester
Metalis are working with a fast-paced organisation specialising in the supply of POS/POP within the temporary and permanent display industry. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality visual solutions for retail environments and are seeking an experienced Artworker to join our dynamic Artwork Department.
Role & Responsibilities:
As an Artworker, you will play a crucial role in their creative process, ensuring that all visual materials are prepared with precision and efficiency. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Handling and processing supplied artwork, using client-supplied assets to create visuals from renders and brand guidelines.
- Proficient use of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat. (Training on the latest version will be provided.)
- Preparing print-ready PDFs for digital flat-bed and roll-fed printers, with a strong understanding of print prepress processes.
- Leveraging your experience in the signage, retail graphics, POS, and display sectors to contribute to the creation of high-quality visual materials.
- Creating cutter guides, adding artwork to development drawings, and setting artwork for prototypes, as well as laying up panels for production.
- Working closely with the Accounts team to ensure all jobs are completed accurately and on time, within a fast-paced environment.
- Maintaining a careful and methodical approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Managing multiple deadlines effectively, being proactive, and self-motivated.
- Demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills, along with good organisation abilities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience working in a Creative / Artwork Studio.
- Strong knowledge of print processes, particularly in prepress and print production.
- Experience in the signage, retail graphics, POS, and displays sector.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong organisation and communication skills.
Salary:
- Up to £28,000pa (to be reviewed after six months)
- Pension: 3% contribution if matched with 5% employee contribution.
Additional Information:
- Hours: 08.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 08.00 am to 4.00 pm on Fridays, with a one-hour lunch break. Additional hours may be required as needed by the business.
- Probation Period: 6 months
- 20 days plus statutory bank holidays, your birthday off, and a Christmas shutdown.
- Equipment: IT equipment (Mac Computer) will be provided.
