Job Role: Salesperson - Naval & Marine Division
Location: Sheffield, S9
Shift: Mon - Friday 9am to 5pm (1-hour lunch)
Salary: Dependant on Experience

Metalis is working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing company in Sheffield who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a Salesperson for their Naval & Marine Sales department

Job Duties:

  • To promote, develop and increase sales with the existing customer base and build new business.
  • Business Development - Generating new leads and opportunities, nurturing and converting contacts information into new customers.
  • Account Management - Maintaining and increasing existing accounts, including preparing and submitting quotations and following up the opportunity with the customer.
  • Provide the department with market feedback to aid future decision making.
  • Maintain and action a business development plan, with milestones and targets.
  • Provide support to the team leader in the smooth running of the department.

Job Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Naval supply chain in either the UK or Export markets (Desirable but not essential)
  • Experience of selling added value products such as machined items components. (Desirable but not essential)
  • Experience in working in a metal stockholding, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
  • Have an initiative-taking approach to sales and optimise the potential of both new and existing customers. This will require a proven history in the sales environment.
  • Enjoys a challenge and has enthusiasm to build and create excellent business connections.
