Machine Operative
Rotherham
£14.00ph + shift allowance
12 Week Temporary - Permanent
Metalis is working with a engineering company based in Rotherham are looking to add a machine operative to their workforce.
This is a Temporary to Permanent position that will lead to permanent employment after the 12 weeks probationary period is complete. You will be working on a 3 shift pattern (Days, After's & Nights)
Role Outlined:
Your role will involve loading, unloading and operating lasers, plasma's as well as general workshop duties. Leading on to become FLT trained, Sideloader trained, and also using the company's overhead cranes.
Requirements:
- Previous CNC or profiling experience
- Worked in a heavy/ industrial engineering environment
- A background of Laser or Plasma cutting is highly desirable
- Hard working
- Show a willingness to learn and progress to operator level
Salary & Shift Pattern:
- Days Monday to Thursday 06:00 to 14:00 Friday 06:00 to 12:30
- Nights Monday to Thursday 20:30 to 06:00 Friday 18:00 to 03:00
- Afternoons Monday to Thursday 13:00 to 21:00 Friday 12:00 to 18:30
- Gain Licenses / training on FLT, Sideloaders and Overhead Crane after 12 weeks
- £14.00 per hour for initial 12 weeks and a pay review with permanent contract offer
- Time and half for overtime, double time on a Sunday
- £34 shift allowance per nights shift
