Metalis are currently supporting an engineering company with deep roots in the electromechanical manufacturing sector.
The company are seeking an individual who will play a pivotal role in sustaining and enhancing production capabilities, blending hands-on technical work with process development and continuous improvement.

You'll work alongside cross-functional teams including design, sales, purchasing, and assembly to bridge product design and real-world manufacturing.
What You'll Be Doing:
Monitor and optimise existing production methods to ensure compliance with standards
Identify and solve production issues, boosting efficiency and workplace safety
Lead or participate in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving initiatives
Oversee the transition of new products into production, preparing documentation, process instructions, risk assessments, and production drawings
Create and maintain bills of materials and routing data
Evaluate and introduce tooling, jigs, fixtures, and production equipment based on quality and process time targets
Support CNC machining areas and troubleshoot production equipment where necessary
Work with suppliers, internal teams, and customers to overcome technical challenges and improve processes
Apply manufacturing enhgancement and performance techniques
Mentor production staff during the launch of new products and promote a culture of continuous improvement through 5S, Kaizen, and Lean principles
Support audits, maintain project documentation, and contribute to overall quality and safety standards
Who We're Looking For:
A background in engineering- ideally with knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and practical machining experience
Comfortable interpreting technical drawings and developing manufacturing solutions based on CAD (AutoCAD experience preferred)
Experience preparing manufacturing costings and justifying capex or process improvements
Familiar with quality and process control methodologies, and capable of maintaining documentation to ISO standards
Excellent communication skills to work across departments and liaise externally when required
Able to work independently, make sound decisions, and deliver completed work packages under time constraints
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with electro-mechanical components
Experience with new product introductions in regulated sectors (e.g., aerospace, medical)
Exposure to ERP/MRP systems
Hands-on knowledge of tooling design, assembly processes, or production support in a similar environment
