Job Role: Quality Manager
Location: Manchester
Shift: Days Only
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 Per Annum
Metalis is working in partnership with a leading specialist chemical company in Manchester who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a skilled QA Manager on a permanent contract.
Job Duties:
- Supervise the daily activities of lab technicians and support development related training whenever necessary
- To ensure proper maintenance of lab equipment
- Accountable for QC of all raw materials, in-process and finished products accordingly
- To ensure sufficient inventory of lab chemicals and material available for final and in-process QC
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in the lab
- To ensure compliance to all regulatory requirement associated to chemical handling in the lab operation
- To lead and support in non-conforming product batch investigation
- To support in handling and disposal of non-conforming product/SMOG if rework options is not available
- Work closely with the warehouse to ensure timely approval of products for shipments
- Provide various technical support to the operation department to achieve the quality objective & other related requirement
- Participate & support NPI activity
- To lead Management Systems which includes Leading & Managing periodic audits, Facilitating Management Review Meeting
- Play instrumental role in Quality related continuous improvement Initiatives
- Quality Management Representative for the plant.
- The sole contact point for all plant related customer complaints and play leadership role in ensuring all customer complaint investigation are completed in timely manner.
- To lead Plant Monthly Quality Meeting
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years' experience in managing QC lab in chemical industry
- Experience in SAP working environment
- Exposure in Management System such as ISO 9001 & ISO 14001
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good accuracy and attention to detail
Salary & Shift:
- 40 hour working week
- Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm
- £40,000 - £50,000 Per Annum DOE
