Job Role: Sawing Operative

Location: Sheffield

Shift: Two Shift Pattern - Days, Afters rotating weekly

Salary: £28,000 per annum, inclusive of shift allowance



Metalis is working in partnership with a Specialist Manufacturer in Sheffield, who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a skilled Sawing Operative on a permanent basis. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OPERATING SEMI-AUTOMATIC BAND SAWS.



Job Duties:

• Operating several Semi-Automatic Bandsaws
• Setting up and lining up workpieces on the saws
• Operating FLT's, Cranes and Slings
• Understanding quality procedures - weighing, measuring and inspection
• Management of Swarf
• Loading and changing saw blades
• Monitoring blade conditions
