Metalis are currently working with a reputable company based in Rotherham that are looking for a Skilled CNC Lathe Turner to join the team on a Permanent basis!
The main responsibilities of the CNC Turner be to produce high-quality precision parts in the high-volume CNC section according to specifications and engineering drawings, ensuring on-time delivery of products while maintaining high levels of efficiency and minimising downtime.
What's the Job?
- Set, operate ans programme a range of CNC Turning machines.
- Loading and unloading the machines.
- Using bench slitters.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Data collection i.e., recording of measurements before and after machining.
- Visual inspection on machined components.
- Work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
What Kind of Person Fits This Job?
- Previous experience within a CNC Turning position.
- Setting, Operating and Programming experience.
- MUST have a minimum of 4 years' experience.
- Must have knowledge of at least one of the following controls: Fanuc and Heidenheim.
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and interpret the information to produce a part.
The Basics:
- A starting salary of £35k (including shift allowance and paid breaks).
- 2-shift system of earlies and lates, Monday - Friday (38 hours).
