Storesperson

Metalis are currently supporting a well established manufactoring company based in Dudley who are looking for an experienced storesperson to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and ensuring accuracy.
- Unload, inspect, and appropriately store incoming inventory items in designated locations.
- Maintain organised and efficient inventory storage, ensuring items are easily accessible and properly labeled.
- Process outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, and preparing items for delivery or shipment.
- Perform regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed to maintain optimal levels.
- Keep accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory transactions using designated software or systems.
- Collaborate with other team members to fulfill orders and meet customer requirements in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety procedures and regulations.
- Assist in the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity within the stores department.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or storeroom environment.
- FLT license
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including experience with inventory management software or systems.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and operate material handling equipment safely.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
Pay: £10.92
Hours: 8:00 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 8.00- 14.30 Friday, 39hrs p/w (30 mins unpaid break)
