Metalis are working with a leading manufacturer based in Kidderminster who due to expansion are looking for a Tooling Engineer to join the team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Welding and free hand forming of cavity steel
Surface grinding, cylindrical grinding, CNC Machine Operating
Supporting foundry production, manufacturing cells
Carrying out repairs and maintenance to dies and shear tools on and off the machines
Working from CAD Drawings & Specifications
Full strip down of dies with sliding hydraulic / manual cores
Changing broken core pins on the die casting machine
Reinserting cavities and slide cores into bolsters
Assembly of shot stems and tips

The ideal candidate will have:

Ability to read from CAD Drawings & Models
Previous machining experience - Grinding (Surface, Cylindrical) Radial drill experience
Must be computer literate
Time served apprenticeship
ONC or Equivalent in Mechanical Engineering

Shifts & Salary:

£28,000
Weekend Nights - OFF Monday - Thursday
Friday 8pm - 6am, Saturday / Sunday - 6pm - 6am
