Waterjet Programmer
Salary - £35,100
Location - Stirchley, Birmingham
Shifts- Mon-Thur 07:00 - 15:45, Friday 07:00 - 11:30, 37.5hrs/week
Metalis are seeking a skilled waterjet programmer to join our client based in stirchley who is one of the leading manufacturers of bespoke architectural ironmongery in the UK.
Job Duties:
The ideal candidate will have experience working on Flow Mach 200 waterjet with XD dynamic head
Previous experience in waterjet cutting is imperative.
- Utilize CAD/CAM software to program waterjet cutting machines for the production of various components.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to create accurate and efficient cutting programs
- Set up and calibrate waterjet cutting machines for optimal performance.
- Select appropriate materials for cutting based on project specifications
- Ensure proper material handling and secure positioning on the cutting bed
- Conduct inspections of materials to identify any defects or irregularities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Waterjet Programmer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CAMWorks).
- Strong understanding of waterjet cutting principles and techniques
- Knowledge of materials commonly used in manufacturing processes.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Prior experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of waterjet cutting machines is a plus.
