Sales Manager

A Sheffield-based engineering and manufacturing business is looking for a Sales Manager to build and manage a portfolio of customer accounts, driving profitable international sales growth. The role involves regular engagement with overseas customers, managing enquiries and quotations, developing new business opportunities and working closely with internal technical teams.

The role

• Build, develop and manage a portfolio of export customer accounts across international markets
• Identify new business opportunities and leads within export markets
• Produce and manage customer visit plans and follow up on quotations
• Prepare cost sheets, quotations and reports on sales forecasts and market intelligence
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing, working with internal teams as required
• Negotiate terms of sale, commercial agreements and contracts
• Attend trade exhibitions and conferences, arranging and attending customer meetings
• Deliver customer presentations including company overviews and product- or project-specific content
• Monitor account performance and identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
• Maintain accurate CRM records and up-to-date knowledge of products, services and industry trends
• Support export manufacturing projects and manage international sales partners
• Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to overall team performance
• Travel nationally and internationally as required

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field
• 4–5 years' experience in account management, sales, customer service or a similar client-facing role
• Fluency in multiple languages is essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
