Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Location: Huddersfield Salary: £46,000 per annum Hours: 38 hours per week | Double Days Permanent Opportunity
Metalis Engineering Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing business, for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team in Huddersfield.
The Role
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a range of production machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, bulk handling and automated systems.
- Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimise production downtime.
- Record maintenance activities using the Sage CMMS system.
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and relevant regulations, including PUWER.
About You
- Apprenticeship-trained or qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-Skilled Engineering.
- Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- A proactive team player with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Desirable: 18th Edition (essential for electrically biased candidates), inspection and testing, fabrication and welding skills, and IPAF/PASMA qualifications.
