Job Role: Business Development Manager
Location: Wakefield
Shift: Days Only
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 Per Annum
Metalis is working in partnership with a pipe supplier in Wakefield who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a skilled Business Development Manager on a permanent contract.
The core responsibility of this position will be to acquire and develop new and existing customer prospect opportunities for the company to meet annual revenue and growth targets.
This will range from small service works supporting client needs to help maintain relationships with shareholders. At this higher end, this will consist of projects of £2.5 to £3 million being targeted. Training on all products, systems and equipment will be provided
Job Duties:
- Building relationships with new and existing customers via phone, emails, and regular face-to-face visits
- Monitor and analyse business from existing customers, markets, and competitors
- Identify new markets and business opportunities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets
- Educate customers on our full product offering/services and how they can support their business needs
- Continued management of existing customer relationships
- Contribution to, and implementation of, the company growth strategy
- Promotion of our products / systems, and services throughout UK
- Deliver presentations/lunch and learns, to new and existing customers
- Ensure company CRM system is updated as required
- Collaboration with Systems, Hose & hydraulic fittings division to promote entire company offering
- Target new customer accounts within 3 months
- Financial targets annually in excess of £2.5m
- A targeted annual growth of 15%
Job Requirements:
- A strong sales attitude with a willingness to travel throughout the UK
- Confident and outgoing
- Proven external sales track record
- Previous experience within the hydraulics industry
- Excellent communication skills and attitude while liaising with customers
- Presentation and negotiation skills with excellent verbal and written communication
- Experience with CRM systems and marketing
- Positive attitude to learn, develop and progress within a large global organisation
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A working knowledge of hydraulic pipework, hoses and fittings is a highly advantageous
- Be enthusiastic, reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- Have a full UK driving licence
