Working with one of our major clients in Sheffield who have been established a long while who are well known for heavy engineering and large diameter turning on both manual lathes and vertical borers, have recently bought in their first CNC turning machine and are looking for someone to come on board, set up the CNC department and lead it forward.
They are looking for a time served CNC engineer to train skilled manual machinists to use and program CNC machinery, overlook an initial team of 4, deal with suppliers, tooling and CAD CAM packaging options going forward. Ideally with Siemens vertical boring experience machining large castings.
The company offer good rates of pay for their skilled staff, paying upwards of £15.50 per hour for this role. Currently the company operate work day of days regular, Monday to Thursday only with Fridays being optional overtime.
Siemens and Fanuc experience and programming abilities would be the most ideal for this position, with excellent knowledge of machining large diameter castings for various industries.
