Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer CNC
Location: Sheffield
Salary: From £45k
We're looking for a hands-on CNC Manufacturing Engineer to support both new technologies and existing production for our client in Sheffield. You'll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly while driving process improvements.
Job Duties:
- Own and improve manufacturing processes to meet production targets
- Create and update clear, effective work instructions
- Attend daily Operations meetings, providing updates and solutions
- Act as a technical expert, driving best practice and improvements
- Work closely with teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
- Promote a culture of teamwork, integrity, excellence, and problem-solving
Experience & Skills
- Engineering apprenticeship or degree + 5+ years' experience
- Strong background in complex CNC machining (milling & turning)
- Confident reading engineering drawings & GD&T
- Experience delivering engineering projects in regulated environments
- CAM experience (Hypermill, Mastercam, Vericut)
- Multi-axis CNC programming (turning/mill-turn a plus)
- Process optimisation & cycle time improvement
- CAD knowledge (Siemens NX) - tooling & fixtures
