CNC Service Engineer (Machine Tool Fitter)

£30,000 - £40,000 (37.5 Hours) dependent on experience

Metalis Engineering Recruitment are working with a leading company who sell, service, install and commission CNC machinery to clients Nationwide.

  • The list of machinery ranges from heavy industry lathes and milling machines to more precision multi axis machines.

  • This company is currently seeking several mechanical machine tool fitters, with vast experience of both heavy and light engineering sectors to work In their service team.

  • The role would involve working in different locations daily, dependent on which clients require their services.

Knowledge required:

  • The role will entail the installation, servicing, repair, building and rebuilding of medium to large capacity CNC metal working machine tools.

  • A mechanical engineering apprenticeship.

  • A manufacturing engineering / machine tool background with high levels of knowledge and experience as service engineers can be out alone or in small teams.

  • Basic electrical knowledge.

  • Excellent knowledge and skills of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • CNC software and applications knowledge.

  • PC literate.

  • Full valid driving licence.
