Metalis are working with one of the national leaders in their space building & installing purpose-built machinery for a range of material handling & moving industries. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to push forward in their career and be part of a growing industry and business.
The current shape of the team will allow for future progression and an opportunity to mentor more junior designers. We are looking for a proactive individual who is hungry to develop professionally and be part of a fast paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Designing of Mechanical & Structural components for the mining and quarry industry.
- Involvement in product and proposal tendering for new works.
- Provide support during the build phase through to product delivery.
- Creation of BOMs for accurate costings.
- Ensure designs are accurate and within customer tolerances.
- Use of SolidWorks for 2D & 3D design.
- Training and mentoring of junior designers.
- Peer reviewing work for continuous improvement purposes.
Experience Required:
- Must have a HNC or Mechanical/Manufacturing qualification.
- Experience with structural steel is beneficial
- Experience working with SolidWorks or Autodesk Navis Works.
- Experience working within construction industry.
- Demonstrable design experience.
- Must have a Valid UK licence.
Shifts & Salary:
- £40,000 - £45,000
- Monday - Friday
- Discretionary bonus
