Job Role: Dimensional / Tool Engineer
Location: Leeds
Shift: Days regular
Salary: £30K - £32K Per Annum
Metalis is currently working with a precision Engineering company who are based in Leeds, who specialise in the manufacturing of Engines, and Industrial Components within the Power Generation sector. The company are looking to hire a Dimensional / Tool Engineer to join the team.
Job Role:
- Promotion and introduction of safe working practices
- Provide reports and statistical evidence to support dimensional validations and tolerance buy-offs.
- Tooling Specification & procurement and liaison with toolmakers
- Runner system design and CAD Modelling
- Preparation of component CAD models for Pattern Die Tooling
- Gauge and fixture specification / procurement
- Providing planning documentation
- Continuous improvement of processes
- Controlling tool modifications (cost / timing and technical control)
- Defining internal dimensional process tolerances (IE wax w/t and CMM tolerances)
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including SOX, Code of Conduct and Health and Safety
- Undertake any other duties as required by the Engineering Management
Job Requirements:
- Engineering/Mechanical Engineering Degree.
- Good knowledge of 3D CAD Package - Preferably in Siemens NX.
- Strong attention to details.
- End-user Knowledge of ERP Software i.e. SAP
- Good understanding of GD&T
- Able to Read and Understand complex 2D drawings.
- Proficient in use of MS Office i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Good knowledge of Statistics
- Good verbal and written communication skills across all levels of business
- Ability to work on and resolve complex problems.
Shifts & Salary:
- 8-hour shift Monday - Friday - early finish Fridays
- £30 - £32K per annum
- Permanent
