Job Title: Junior Marketing & Ecommerce Manager
Location: Scunthorpe
Work Type: Hybrid (50% office-based, 50% remote)
Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (flexible hours available)

Company Overview:

We are recruiting on behalf of a Scunthorpe-based sealant manufacturer and seller involved in various construction sectors. As the business continues to expand, they are seeking a Junior Marketing & Ecommerce Manager to help grow their online presence and support sales efforts across multiple platforms.

Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for a high-energy, motivated individual ready to take on a dynamic role in ecommerce and marketing. Reporting directly to the Directors, you will have significant autonomy to manage and grow the company's ecommerce platforms while driving new business through strategic marketing initiatives.

In this hybrid role (50% office-based, 50% remote), you will oversee product listings on platforms like Amazon, the company website, and explore other potential sales channels. You will also lead marketing efforts to launch new products, engage new sectors, and experiment with innovative marketing approaches.

With no existing in-house marketing team, this role offers huge potential for growth. If you take ownership of your responsibilities, you could play a key role in developing a marketing team for the entire group of companies as they continue to expand through acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ecommerce Store Management:
Manage and optimize product listings on ecommerce platforms like Amazon, the company website, and others. Ensure products are accurately listed, regularly updated, and positioned for maximum visibility and sales.
  • New Business Development:
Identify and explore new sales channels and platforms to drive revenue. Research opportunities in new sectors and industries to effectively market products to target audiences.
  • Marketing Campaigns:
Plan and execute varied marketing activities, including:
    • A/B testing of product listings and campaigns.
    • Targeted advertisements (SEO, PPC) to drive sales.
    • Launching new products into emerging sectors.
    • Managing social media growth and engagement.
    • Creating newsletters and other direct marketing efforts to engage customers.
  • Collaborating with a Marketing Agency:
Work closely with the company's London-based marketing agency, leveraging their expertise to enhance campaigns, track performance, and integrate feedback into ongoing marketing strategies.
  • Event and Exhibition Management:
Assist with organizing and executing trade exhibitions and industry shows, ensuring maximum exposure for the company's products.
  • Performance Monitoring:
Regularly monitor ecommerce and marketing performance, using data-driven insights to optimize product listings, campaigns, and overall strategies.

Role Flexibility and Autonomy:

This role offers significant autonomy. You'll need to be self-motivated, able to manage your own time, and take initiative without constant supervision. While the Directors and Sales Managers will provide support, you'll have the freedom to experiment, test new ideas, and push boundaries.

Typical working hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, but the company is open to adjusting hours to suit the right candidate.

There is also significant potential for progression. As the company grows, so will your role, with the possibility of building and managing an in-house marketing team across the group of companies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A broad range of ecommerce and marketing skills, with experience managing platforms like Amazon or Shopify.
  • A degree in marketing/ecommerce or equivalent qualifications is preferred.
  • Proficiency in SEO, PPC, and digital marketing strategies to drive product visibility and sales.
  • Experience with A/B testing and the ability to analyze data to improve performance.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience in social media marketing, email marketing (newsletters), and trade exhibition management is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external agencies.

Why This Role is Perfect for You:

If you're looking for a role where you can take control, implement new ideas, and make a real difference, this is the perfect opportunity. You'll be joining a growing company with a no-ceiling approach to progression, where success leads to further growth. The Directors are committed to investing in talent, so if you're ready to "grab the bull by the horns," this role offers unparalleled potential for growth.

Apply today if you're ready to join a forward-thinking company with ambitious plans for the future, and are looking for a role where your creativity and drive will be valued and rewarded!
