Manual Machinist

Metalis are working with an established engineering company who's speciality has always been around high speed rotating machinery and its application to vehicles of all types. Working in our well-equipped machine shop, the role will involve manufacture of one-off and low volume parts, and working with the Engineering Team on development parts.
Requirements:
- Good engineering background
- Manual machining experience; milling and turning
- Experience using measuring equipment
- Experience inspecting parts using micrometers/verniers etc.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Ability to produce parts in a variety of different materials; mild steel,
- stainless steel, brass, plastics and nickel cast iron
- Ability to produce parts safely, accurately and efficiently
- Organised, flexible, reliable & a good team player
- Minimum at least 3 years' experience
- Cylindrical grinding experience desired but not essential
Hours and Pay:
- 40 Hours per week
- Monday - Thursday 7.30-16.30 Friday 7.30-13:30
- £15-16ph DOE
