Metalis are supporting a global aerospace business in the search for a Production Engineer to support senior management in the development of new product, lead continuous improvement techniques and ensure smooth planning of work.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- To interpret engineering drawings to product detailed work instructions.
- Using LEAN Methodology to reduce waste and increase productivity in the department.
- Creation of SOPs/Best practice for CNC programming capability.
- Managing NPI process updating FAIRs, PPAPs etc.
- Develop new machining techniques and implementing with the manufacturing team.
- Deliver key messaging to the wider manufacturing team.
- Working cross-functionally to ensure production targets are achieved.
- Able to manage multiple projects at one time.
Experience Required:
- Must have a HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of the aerospace sector.
- A clear communicator.
Shifts & Salary:
£30,000 - £40,000
Monday - Thursday, 8am - 4:25pm
Friday 08:00 - 15:50
