We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Fitter to join a well-established engineering company based in Nottingham. This is a days-based role offering a temporary - permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

The Role

Working as part of a busy assembly team, you will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of pre fabricated products, ensuring work is completed to a high standard, on time, and in line with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Assembling pre fabricated products that align with company engineering standards
Maintaining productivity and efficiency while working to daily production targets
Using hand and power tools
Working from engineering drawings and specifications
Identifying and communicating urgently required parts or any issues relating to parts, build quality, or equipment
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and actively follow a 5S working environment
Carry out additional assembly or production support tasks as required

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience in mechanical assembly or fitting
Ability to read and follow engineering drawings
A strong work ethic with good attention to detail
Team player with a proactive and flexible approach
