Job Title: Multi-Skilled Service Engineer

Location: Role will include travel across the UK and potentially time spent on-site at Keighly.

Hours: Full-time 40 Hours a week

Metalis are working with a specialist engineering company who design and manufacture machinery and production equipment for a range of industries. Due to continuous growth our client are looking to recruit multiple Multi-Skilled Service Engineers.

Responsibilities:

Installing, servicing and repairing electro-mechanical high value production equipment/machinery at customer sites.
Following drawings, manufacturer's instructions and customer specifications, utilising knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical machinery.
Work on equipment/machinery refurbishments, re-tools and refits where necessary.
Operate equipment/machinery through installation and commissioning to ensure that performance, quality and rate of running meet specifications.
Train customer personnel on maintaining, adjusting and repairing equipment/machinery.
Document all inspections, maintenance and repair work, plus fault finding and diagnostics
Delivering customer service excellence and identifying other value-added opportunities

Key Skills & Requirements:

Qualified to NVQ Level 3, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering or alternative required discipline, or relevant experience.
A relevant technical or engineering qualification in mechanical engineering is required, or relevant experience.
Knowledge of multi-axis machine tools and production machinery is essential,
Experienced in PLC and CNC controls (Siemens, Fanuc etc.)
Understanding of Field Bus Profinet, Profibus.
Car driver with a full driving licence.
Good customer service skills with expertise in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and solving complex machining / grinding related problems.
Able to work effectively under pressure either alone or as part of a team.
