Operations Manager
Location: Kirkby-in-Ashfield
Shifts: Monday - Friday
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 D.O.E
Metalis are working with a growing fabrication and manufacturing business in recruiting their next Operations Manager. This is an integral role for the business and will suit an individual who can lead from the front and doesn't mind getting involved in the shop floor day to day, due to the size of the team.
Financially this is a well backed business by a larger parent company so the opportunities for growth and investment are there. You will have experience with Continuous Improvement, Leadership, Fabrication, Installations & managing KPIs such as sales, costs, H&S, quality etc.

The Role:
- Assist in all aspects of the day to day running of the business.
- Oversee Production Management including works schedules, staffing levels and ordering.
- Manage the CE / UKCE Quality functions and further ISO9001 & 45001 processes.
- Managing of all subcontractors onsite and off.
- Ensuring budgetary controls are adhered to including purchasing of raw materials, machinery, tooling, general consumables.
- Manage Apprentices ensuring their training plans and development is being adhered to.
- Must have a good understanding of H&S Principes and ensure the team follow them.
- Oversee continuous improvement projects looking for efficiencies and savings without affecting quality or performance.

- £40,000 - 50,000 Dependant on Experience
- Permanent Opportunity

- There will be NO relocation for this job role
Ideal Experience:
- Use of PM Tools.
- Previous management experience.
- Happy to jump on and support where needed.
- Full clean driving license.
- Detail Orientated, focused on the role.
- Use of LEAN Manufacturing.
