Site Maintenance Technician
Location - Kidderminster
Salary - £26,000 per annum
Metalis are currently seeking a site maintenance technician who will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the overall functionality and efficiency of our client's facilities. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our client's premises are operating smoothly and creating a safe and comfortable environment for employees on site.
Job Duties:
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of site facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues related to facility infrastructure promptly.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and prolong the lifespan of equipment.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance or repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Respond to emergency situations promptly and efficiently.
- Assist in the planning and execution of facility improvement projects.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Facilities Engineer or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Salary & Hours:
Hours - 37.75 hours per week - double days
Working week = Double days, Monday - Friday (rotating AM and PM shift)
- AM - Monday - Thursday - 6am - 2:15pm
- AM - Friday - 6am - 1:15pm
- PM - Monday - Thursday - 2pm - 10:15pm
- PM - Friday - 2pm - 9:15pm
