Workshop Lead & CNC Programmer

Are you a skilled CNC Programmer with exceptional leadership abilities? Do you thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are seeking a talented Workshop Lead & CNC Programmer to join our team and play a pivotal role in our company's success.

Job Duties:

  • Lead and supervise a team of CNC programmers, machinists, and operators, ensuring smooth operations in the workshop.
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality precision components.
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop manufacturing processes and optimize production efficiency.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure adherence to specifications and make necessary adjustments.
  • Train and mentor team members, providing guidance and support in CNC programming techniques and best practices.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety among the team.
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the manufacturing process.

Job Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in CNC programming, setting up, and operating of WinMax controls for Hurco 3-Axis CNC
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as G-code and CAM software.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve production goals.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and tooling.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or team lead role is preferred.
  • A degree or certification in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is a plus.

Salary & Hours:

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Contracted hours: Monday - Thursday 09:00am - 17:30pm, Friday 09:00am - 15:00pm

Position Type: Permanent, Full-time
