Workshop Machinist
Salary - Competitive salary with OTE of over £55,000+ per annum
Location - Coventry (Will include national & international travel)
We are currently seeking a skilled Workshop Machinist to join our client's team in Coventry. As a Workshop Machinist, you will play a vital role in our workshop operations, contributing to the production of high-quality components for our clients.
Job Duties:
- Set up and operate a variety of workshop machinery, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills.
- Select appropriate tools, materials, and machine parameters for each job.
- Machine components to specified dimensions and tolerances, ensuring accuracy and adherence to technical drawings.
- Perform tasks such as turning, boring, drilling, and grinding to achieve precise finishes.
- Conduct regular inspections of machined parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Make necessary adjustments to machines and tools to maintain high-quality production.
- Troubleshoot issues related to machining processes and equipment, implementing corrective measures.
- Collaborate with engineers and colleagues to optimize machining techniques and resolve challenges.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to create a secure working environment.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Workshop Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in operating workshop machinery such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills.
- Flexibility to work Internationally
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques, tools, and materials.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues.
- Understanding of safety procedures and adherence to safety regulations.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Salary & Hours:
- A competitive salary with OTE in excess of £55,000+ per annum
