Metalis are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented CMM Programmer to join our client's team in Coventry. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our client's products meet the established quality standards and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of CMM programs/operation, quality control processes, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality.
Job Duties:
- Create CMM programs and operate CMM's to ensure products meet specifications and design expectations.
- Perform visual inspections and measurements on products to ensure they meet quality specifications and standards.
- Conduct in-depth inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products using various inspection tools and equipment.
- Document inspection results, complete inspection reports, and maintain accurate records of quality tests and checks.
- Identify and report any deviations from quality standards, product defects, or issues with manufacturing processes to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality-related problems and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular inspections of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.
- Assist in the training of production staff on quality standards and inspection methods.
Job Requirements:
- Proficient/experienced in CMM Programming.
- Proficiency in using mechanical measuring equipment.
- Track record of conducting inspections, generating detailed reports, and implementing necessary corrective actions.
- Experience in developing and implementing Quality Management Systems (QMS) is a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency in problem-solving techniques for addressing non-conformances and quality-related issues.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective interaction within the team and external stakeholders.
- Comprehensive understanding and practical experience in quality auditing techniques, engineering design, and product reliability concepts.
- Demonstrates a hands-on, pragmatic approach with a positive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Flexibility to adapt to varied work hours, including extended periods in the workshop when required.
Salary & Hours:
Salary - £30,000 - £40,000pa (Dependent on experience)
Day shift - 07:00 - 16:00 Monday - Thursday, 07:00-12:00 Friday
