Metalis are partnered with a forward-thinking manufacturing company who are seeking a Engineering Project Manager. The business is undergoing significant long-term investment. With a 15-year pipeline of technical projects and site development initiatives, this is a strategic appointment that will suit someone looking for a long-term role with real influence.

You'll support the delivery of multiple engineering projects, ranging from installations to complex, multi-year programs- covering everything from advanced materials handling to cutting-edge automation and inspection technology.



What You'll Be Doing

  • Take ownership of end-to-end engineering projects, including:

    • Installation of industrial furnaces and manufacturing equipment

    • Implementation of automated packaging lines, MES, and control systems

    • Integration of inspection equipment across production and recycling lines

  • Oversee planning, coordination, installation, and commissioning phases

  • Manage several projects concurrently, ranging in value from £10k to £13.5m

  • Work closely with engineering, production, suppliers, and contractors to meet project timelines and specifications

  • Involved in all aspects of capital project execution including risk assessments, budget control, technical validation, and stakeholder reporting

  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and supplier demonstrations, identifying innovations that offer efficiency, quality, or cost advantages

  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and health & safety standards throughout project lifecycles



What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in supporting projects in a manufacturing or industrial environment

  • Recognised Engineering qualification (Electrical discipline would be preferred)

  • Experience delivering projects within CDM regulations and HSE frameworks

  • Able to handle multiple concurrent projects of varying scale and complexity

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and hands-on delivery approach



Nice to Have

  • A formal project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM) or willingness to pursue one as part of your development

  • Previous experience with processing, packaging automation, or materials handling systems would be desirable

  • Experience in structured project planning and stakeholder engagement across long-term investment horizons
