Job Role: Design & Production Engineer
Location: Daventry
Salary: £37,000 per annum
Metalis are currently working with a well-established manufacturer who are looking for a Design & Production Engineer to join their team.
Job Duties:
- Generate and develop CAD concepts using CATIA V5
- Create detailed CAD models and drawings
- Finalise design for production release
- Develop and validate process flow, PFMEA, control plans and SOP's
- Resolve design and process issues promptly
- Present design proposals and solutions in review meetings
- Review first off parts with the quality team
- Implement design or process adjustments as required
- Heading up continuous improvements activities
Job Requirements:
- Degree or HND in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering (or equivalent)
- Skilled in CATIA V5
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Experience using quality management systems
- Familiar with APQP, PFMEA, control plans and lean manufacturing methods
- Automotive experience (preferred)
Salary & Shift:
- £37,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30am
